What is CoolSculpting® ?

CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive, fat reduction treatment method that uses cryolipolysis (“fat freezing”) technology. And here at Fargo Dermatology, our specially designed body contouring room is able to efficiently treat you with two machines at one time, called “Dual Sculpting”.  With its new advanced technology, this treatment uses two machines to treat multiple areas of concern at once. This makes it an awesome, versatile treatment that helps to give you your ideal contours.

What Treatments Compliment CoolSculpting ®?

Cooltone® is another device that was FDA cleared in 2019 and this device will help to define and tone your muscles to further complement your Coolsculpting treatment.

To get a completely rejuvenated look, you may want to look into some other services we offer to compliment your new body contours. We offer many cosmetic injectables that can help to smooth skin. Treatments like Kybella, Juvéderm, Restylane, Radiesse, and other filler products can augment your facial contours as well for an overall refreshed appearance.

How Does CoolSculpting ® Work?

The CoolSculpting ® applicator will be placed on the treatment area. You may feel cold as the applicator starts cooling the area. During the treatment, you may feel sensations of pinching, pulling, tugging, cold, tingling, and more. These will all subside as the area becomes numb from the cooling effect. While the area is being cooled, the targeted fat cells are freezing. The freezing makes the fat cells die off. Over time, your body will naturally rid itself of the dead fat cells, meaning that you lose fat in this area. We are born with a finite number of fat cells, so they cannot come back in the treated area. This procedure does not require any downtime. Following the procedure, you may experience some numbness, bruising, redness, and swelling, but these should subside quickly.  Our body contouring rooms is designed to allow you to relax during your treatments or enjoy watching a movie or TV.

The amount of CoolSculpting® treatments needed varies between patients. Many patients see as much as 25% fat reduction with just one CoolSculpting® session. So, your best results won’t be seen right away. Our staff will work with you to create your personalized treatment plan.
