What is Sculptra?
Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable treatment approved by the FDA for use in gradually replacing lost collagen in the face. The gel formula is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) which is a collagen stimulator. By stimulating collagen, Sculptra can restore the skin’s inner structure and facial volume to combat aging signs. How Does Sculptra Work?
The Sculptra aesthetic works as a collagen stimulator. Unlike hyaluronic acid, collagen stimulators diminish wrinkles by restoring deep underlying structures of the skin. Due to this, the results from Sculptra appear gradually. As the Sculptra aesthetic microparticles are absorbed by the tissues, collagen is rebuilt. The Sculptra treatment typically involves three injection sessions over a course of three to four months. The results from this treatment have been shown to last for up to two years.

After the Sculptra treatment, you are free to go about your normal day. Some swelling may occur at the injection sites but should subside within a could of days. Some mild-to-moderate bruising and tenderness are also common. Results from Sculptra last on average for two years, to maintain the results you can get repeat treatments.
