Botox®
in Fargo, North Dakota
Botox® is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments from year to year, and for good reason. Many patients find excellent results in smoothing wrinkles and refreshing their look with a quick and easy, in-office treatment.
What is Botox?
Botox is an injectable treatment that can effectively relax facial muscles that cause wrinkles and folds to form over time. Most people experience creases and folds in the skin that form over a lifetime because of repetitive movements like smiling, squinting, or furrowing. Botox is FDA-approved for treating wrinkles and folds between the brows, sometimes called frown lines, and fine lines around the eyes, sometimes called crow’s feet.
How does Botox work?
Botox is an injectable treatment made from a purified form of botulinum toxin Type A. Classified as a neuromodulator, it can effectively block movement signals that travel from the brain to the muscles. This process occurs in a quick and easy treatment session at our Fargo office. Depending on your treatment areas and extensiveness of treatment, it can take as little as fifteen minutes. Some patients find the injection process uncomfortable, so we can supply a topical numbing cream.

Botox Maintenance
After your Botox treatment, it’s important to avoid touching or massaging the treatment area, as this can cause the product to spread to unwanted areas. Botox can take a few days to produce the best results, and usually lasts for between three to four months, but this can be unique to each patient. For great results, Botox works best when combined with dermal fillers and cosmetic treatments like chemical peels or microneedling to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Additionally, Dr. Ness can recommend the best in our in-house skincare product line to further rejuvenate your look.
