Cosmetic Injectables

Despite our best efforts, our skin changes with age. For this reason, cosmetic injectables are becoming increasingly popular to help patients look and feel more confident. Dr. Rachel Ness is practiced in the use of cosmetic injectables to help with the treatment of facial wrinkles, fine lines, skin depressions, and visible signs of aging. At Fargo Dermatology, we want to help you feel comfortable by providing healthy, younger-looking skin. We offer the latest cosmetic injectable treatments, including dermal fillers and Botox, to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

What Areas Can Cosmetic Injectables Treat?

Cosmetic injectables can address a wide variety of concerns, including everything from frown lines and crow’s feet to volume loss and hollows. It all depends on the type of injectable being used. Botulinum toxin neuromodulators like Botox Cosmetic and Dysport are ideal for addressing dynamic lines and wrinkles, while hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are best for volume loss and facial contouring. All injectables work incredibly well to achieve a more youthful appearance.

What to Expect with Injectable Treatments

Injectable treatments are fairly straightforward. Dr. Ness or another member of our team will start by cleansing your skin. From there, based on your concerns and your facial anatomy, she will use a very thin needle to inject the correct formula into the facial muscles and targeted areas. While these injections are typically not painful, we can apply a topical anesthetic prior to treatment to ensure you’re completely comfortable.

How many injections you require depends on the results you’re looking for and what your concerns are.

Injectable Treatment Recovery & Results

After your cosmetic treatment, you will likely have redness or swelling at the injection site, but these side effects will dissipate within a few hours. With cosmetic fillers, you will see results immediately, while Botox treatments typically need a week or two to show full results.

After treatment, you will want to avoid touching, putting pressure on, or lying on the treatment area, any strenuous exercise, and alcohol and smoking.
